DUBUQUE - Shane Kavanagh scored an unassisted goal in overtime Friday night to give the Dubuque Fighting Saints a 2-1 victory over the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders in a USHL preseason game before 1,419 fans at the Mystique Ice Center.

Erik Foley gave Cedar Rapids a 1-0 lead in the first period with assists from Georgy Gorodetsky and Derek Daschke, but the RoughRiders never scored again.

Jacob Benson tied the game for Dubuque on a power play in the third period.

Dubuque out-shot the RoughRiders, 40-24, Ben Blacker made 38 saves for Cedar Rapids.
