SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - Erik Foley scored on a power play in overtime Friday night as the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders edged Sioux Falls, 5-4, before 7,801 fans at the Denny Sanford Premier Center.
Sioux Falls led 4-3 late in the third period, but Adam Gaudette tied the game for the RoughRiders at the 18:18 mark on a power-play goal with an assist from Ross Colton.
Foley scored the game-winner after just 72 seconds had elapsed in overtime with assists from Jiri Fronk and Charlie Curti. It was Foley's second game of the night.
Cal Burke and Colton also scored for Cedar Rapids. Ben Blacker started in goal for the RoughRiders, but Ryan Larkin relieved Blacker late in the third period and got the win.
The RoughRiders raised their record to 10-1 for 20 points and sit atop the Eastern Conference.
Cedar Rapids hosts Fargo Saturday night and visits Bloomington Sunday afternoon.
