RoughRiders stay unbeaten on road

ANN ARBOR, Mich. - Jiri Fronk scored a pair of goals Saturday night as the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders remained unbeaten in USHL road games with a 4-2 victory over Team USA before 346 fans at the Ann Arbor Ice Cube.

Fronk leads the league with 14 goals in 17 games.

The RoughRiders raised their overall record to 15-2 for 30 points, the best mark in the USHL. The RoughRiders have a perfect 9-0 record on the road.

Dylan McLaughlin and Fronk gave Cedar Rapids a 2-0 lead in the first period with power-play goals. Team USA pulled within 2-1, but Cal Burke gave the RoughRiders a 3-1 advantage in the second period.

Joey Anderson scored his second goal for Team USA to pull the hosts within 3-2 in the third period, but Fronk notched his second goal to finish the scoring.

Ben Blacker stopped 33 of 35 shots in goal for Cedar Rapids.
