WATERLOO - Jiri Fronk, Hugh McGing and Matt O'Donnell each scored first-period goals and Ben Blacker stopped 36 of 37 shots at the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders downed Waterloo, 4-1, before 2,934 fans Thursday night at Young Arena.

The Riders (17-2-0, 34 points) remained unbeaten on the road, winning for the 11th time away from Cedar Rapids.

Fronk also added an assist for Cedar Rapids, which was outshot 37-23 by the Black Hawks (5-11-2, 12 points).

Andrew Gaus added an empty net goal for the RoughRiders with 15 seconds remaining.

The two teams meet again Saturday night in Cedar Rapids.
