IOWA CITY - The Kennedy boys bowling team nipped Iowa City West in a rare tiebreaker Friday, 2,975-2,948, in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at Colonial Lanes.
The match ended in a 2860-2860 deadlock, so they bowled five extra frames to determine a winner. Kennedy won the playoff, 115-88, and took the match.
James Jambois rolled a 468 series for the Cougars with games of 202 and 266. Alec White had a 428 series and Aaron Smith added a 400 for Kennedy (6-2).
Heath Schintler rolled a 427 series for Iowa City West (3-5).
