The Cedar Rapids Kernels have announced their Gate Giveaway dates for the 2015 season.

The first gate giveaway is Friday, April 17 as the first 500 fans through the gates receive a free Kernels scarf from the Best Western Longbranch.

June 12: Jurassic World Movie Theme Night Canteen Giveaway

June 26: Mike Trout Snow Globe Giveaway

July 4: Military Heroes Baseball Card Set Giveaway

July 17: Iowa State Cyclone Night Mini-Basketball Giveaway

July 24: Minions Movie Mask Giveaway

Aug. 7: Scheels Jon Teig Bobblehead Giveaway and Wells Fargo/Copyworks Kernels Team Photo Giveaway

Season ticket packages, 10-game coupon books and individual game tickets are on sale at Veterans Memorial Stadium or by calling the Kernels at (319) 363-3887.

The 2015 Kernels will arrive in Cedar Rapids on Monday, April 6 and the first chance to meet the new team is on Tuesday, April 7 as part of "Meet the Kernels Night" from 5 p.m. 7:30 p.m.

The Kernels open the 2015 MWL season on Thursday, April 9 at Kane County and the 2015 Home Opener is Sunday, April 12 when the Kernels host the Beloit Snappers at 4:05 p.m.
