Biehl slugs 2 homers as Eagles split

DIXON, Ill. - Lexie Biehl belted two more home runs Friday as the 11th-ranked Kirkwood softball team split a non-conference doubleheader with Sauk Valley in Dixon, Ill.

Kirkwood won the first game, 20-1, in five innings. Sauk Valley captured the nightcap, 7-5.

Biehl went 2-for-4 with a double, home run, two RBIs and three runs scored in the opener. Brooke Prior was a 2-for-4 with a homer, four RBIs and three runs scored.

Alicia Crivaro socked a home run and drove in four runs for the Eagles in the opener. Natalie Clark also hit a home run and drove in four runs.

Nicky Simpson pitched a three-hitter with six strikeouts.

Biehl was 2-for-4 with another home run and three RBIs in the second game. Lexi Quandt, Tara Walls and Chasney Jenkins also had two hits.

Biehl has 18 home runs this season and Prior has 14 homers.

The split left Kirkwood with a 28-8 record.
