Kohawks clip Cornell at stadium

Jory Heckenberg went 3-for-4 and drove in three runs Tuesday as Coe topped Cornell, 6-3, in a college baseball game at Veterans Memorial Stadium.

The Kohawks defeated the Rams for the 18th time in their last 19 meetings. Coe snapped a 3-3 tie with three runs in the bottom of the seventh, including a big two-run single by Heckenberg.

Craig Konrardy went 3-for-5, scored two runs and collected his 18th double of the season for Coe. Jack Hoffmann was 2-for-4 with three RBIs.

Beriah Quick and Max Freilinger had two hits for Cornell. Walker Breard drove in two runs.

Coe raised its record to 26-12. Cornell fell to 14-17.
