4 Metro volleyball teams ranked again

There was little movement in the new high school volleyball rankings Thursday by the IGHSAU.

The Marion Indians stayed in the No. 2 spot in the Class 4A poll behind West Delaware. The Prairie Hawks remained No. 3 in Class 5A and the Kennedy Cougars stayed No. 5 in Class 5A.

The Linn-Mar Lions climbed two spots to No. 7 in Class 5A.

Bettendorf leads the 5A rankings, followed by Dowling.

CLASS 4A

1. West Delaware (25-0), 2. Marion (15-3), 3. Harlan (13-3), 4. Lewis Central (14-3), 5. Sioux City Heelan (11-6), 6. Clinton (18-5), 7. Charles City (9-5), 8. Waverly-Shell Rock (15-9), 9. Wahlert (11-4), 10. Carroll (14-5), 11. Fairfield (16-2), 12. Independence (14-4), 13. Pella (13-7), 14. Norwalk (16-6), 15. Bondurant-Farrar (7-4).

CLASS 5A

1. Bettendorf (12-1), 2. Dowling (20-1), 3. Prairie (12-1), 4. Cedar Falls (18-1), 5. Kennedy (13-5), 6. Ankeny Centennial (19-2), 7. Linn-Mar (13-4), 8. Iowa City West (13-5), 9. Johnston (11-3), 10. Southeast Polk (18-4), 11. Ankeny (12-6), 12. West Des Moines Valley (21-6), 13. Marshalltown (12-4), 14. Iowa City High (6-7), 15. Hempstead (11-5).
