SOLON - It took four weeks, but the Marion Indians lost a game to top-ranked Solon on Wednesday.
The Spartans clipped the Indians, 3-1, in the completion of a Wamac Conference game that was suspended due to weather on June 8.
Solon had taken a 2-1 lead in the bottom of the fourth inning on June 8 when the game was suspended. They picked up Wednesday where they left off, but the Indians were not able to muster any more runs against the No.1 team in Class 3A.
Kasey Semler and Mitch Wagner had two hits for Marion.
Marion lost to Xavier, 16-6, in six innings Wednesday night after losing to Solon Wednesday afternoon.
The Indians host a Wamac doubleheader against West Delaware on Thursday night at 5:30 p.m.
