Gary Bonds collected a double-double in his first game for the Kirkwood Eagles Saturday in a 96-38 blowout over the William Penn junior varsity in the season opener at Johnson Hall.
Bonds, a 6-foot-7 freshman from Indianapolis, scored 18 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in 18 minutes. He also blocked four shots.
Nick Richards and Deantae Woods scored 11 points apiece for the Eagles.
