MARSHALL, Mo. - Juan Carlos Heras scored two goals Saturday afternoon as Missouri Valley College blanked Mount Mercy, 4-0, in the opening round of the NAIA national soccer tournament on a cold, windy day at Gregg Mitchell Field in Marshall, Mo.

Mount Mercy ended the season with a 15-5-1 record. Missouri Valley advanced to the second round with an 18-2-1 record.

Rafael Alcaraz and Disema Mzolo also scored for Missouri Valley. Mount Mercy managed only four shots on goal in the 90-minute contest.
