Coe swimmers sweep Kohawk Relays

The Coe swimming teams won both titles at the Kohawk Relays Saturday in their own pool.

Ayaka Okamoto was a triple-winner for the Coe women as they rolled up 620 points in a four-team meet. She captured the 100 back, 200 back and 100 butterfly.

Kate Appler took the 100 free, Alanna Thompson claimed the 50 free and Sam Fitzgerald won the 200 IM. The Kohawks also took the 400 medley relay, 200 freestyle relay, 200 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.

Collin Flynn was a triple-champ for the Coe men as they scored 779 points in a three-team meet. Flynn won the 100 back, 200 back and 200 IM.

Corbin Faidley captured the 1650 free and 500 free for the Kohawks. Brian Bosn won the 200 free, Timmy Bosn won the 100 free, Conor Backhaus took the 400 IM and Justin Sauter won the diving competition. The Kohawks also took the 400 medley relay and 400 freestyle relay.

WOMEN'S STANDINGS

1. Coe 620, 2. Loras 493, 3. Quincy 405, 4. Iowa Lakes 62.

MEN'S STANDINGS

1. Coe 779, 2. Loras 404, 3. Iowa Lakes 68.
