Cougars slip by Burlington

BURLINGTON — Kyle Lamaak scored 14 points and Joe Coleman added 11 Friday night (Dec. 3) as Kennedy trimmed Burlington, 42-38, in the season opener at Burlington.

Jake Manning scored eight points and grabbed 10 rebounds for the Cougars. Kennedy, which struggled at the free-throw line last season, got off to a poor start this year by making only 4 of 13 at the charity stripe.

 KENNEDY (42): Fuller 1 1-4 3, Coleman 4 1-2 11, Dixon 1 0-0 2, Christians 1 0-0 2, Manning 4 0-0 8, Lamaak 5 2-6 14, French 1 0-1 2, Jahlas 0 0-0 0, Heitland 0 0-0 0. Totals 17 4-13 42.

BURLINGTON (38): Lewis 2 0-0 4, Gustafson 3 0-1 8, Pflum 4 0-0 12, Osborne 0 1-2 1, Webb 2 0-0 4, Randall 1 0-0 2, Massner 3 1-2 7. Totals 15 2-5 38.
