LaRocque pitches shutout for RoughRiders

Zach LaRocque collected a shutout in goal Saturday night as the Cedar Rapids RoughRiders blanked Team USA, 5-0, in a USHL game before 3,234 fans at the Ice Arena.

LaRocque stopped 21 shots in the victory.

Ross Colton scored twice for the RoughRiders, giving him 18 goals this season for the second-most in the USHL. Cal Burke, Tyler Irvine and Jacob Hayhurst also scored for Cedar Rapids.

The RoughRiders led 1-0 after two periods, but they poured in four goals in the third period to break it open.

The victory kept the RoughRiders one point behind Dubuque for first place in the Eastern Conference, 44-43.
