Riders hang on to win at Youngstown

YOUNGSTOWN, Ohio - Ross Colton scored a pair of goals and Johnny DeRoche connected on what proved to be the game-winner as Cedar Rapids downed Youngstown, 4-3, on Sunday in a USHL contest before 1,311 fans at the Covelli Center.

Jacob Hayhurst also connected for the RoughRiders and had an assist on Colton's first goal. Karch Bachman also had two assists for Cedar Rapids.

Ben Blacker picked up the win in net, stopping 25 of the 28 shots he saw.

The win pulled Cedar Rapids (29-12-2) into a tie for first place in the Eastern Conference standings with Dubuque at 61 points.
