Kennedy girls race to Regina title

IOWA CITY - Kennedy placed four runners in the top five places Tuesday and rolled to the title of the Bob Brown Invitational girls cross country meet hosted by Iowa City Regina at the University of Iowa's Ashton Cross Country Course.

The Cougars finished with 21 points. Solon was second with 46.

Kennedy's Katie Wampole, Alyssa Averhoff, Jessica Rodman and Tara Mittelberg finished second through fifth on the 4k course. Lauren Meyer was seventh and Aliza Lichty eighth for the Cougars.

Solon's Lauren Benzing won the race.

Kennedy also won the JV meet by eight points over Solon.
