MIAMI, Okla. - The 10th-ranked Kirkwood softball split a doubleheader Saturday with Northeastern Oklahoma A&M College in Oklahoma.
The Eagles dropped the opener, 11-3, in five innings, but responded with a 14-6 victory in the nightcap in five innings.
The split left Kirkwood at 8-3 for the campaign. Northeastern Oklahoma A&M is 8-4.
London Jackson hit a home run and drove in all three runs for Kirkwood in the 11-3 loss in Game 1. Shelby Hulsebus went 2-for-3.
Hulsebus was 3-for-4 with two RBIs and scored twice in the 14-6 victory in Game 2. Jayme Finn drove in three runs. Jackson scored three times. Sydney Albaugh and Angie Gorkow were both 2-for-4 with two RBIs and scored twice. Autum Barthelman was 2-for-2 and scored two runs.
