BROOKINGS, S.D. - Andrea Ertz of Mount Mercy enjoyed a strong  performance at the NAIA indoor track championships in South Dakota  Saturday.

Ertz finished third in the women's 1000 meter run in 2:54.42 and  placed sixth in the mile run in 4:59.32.

Luke Nickelson of Mount Mercy placed seventh in the men's triple jump  at 48 feet, 3/4 inch. Vanessa Cortes of Mount Mercy finished ninth in  the women's 5000 meter run in 17:56.44.
Rachel Gadient placed sixth in the pentathlon on Friday.

The Mount Mercy women's track team tied for 22nd in the team standings  with 12 points. The men's team tied for 52nd with two points.
