Storyline - Kennedy is faced with the task of trying to stop an Iowa City West offense that has produced 162 points and 1,209 yards the past three weeks. Kennedy's best defense may be a good offense. The Cougars need to control the ball and keep it away from Trojans quarterback Charles Rogers, an Iowa State football commit.

Iowa City West - The Trojans' offense has gone berserk the past three weeks after absorbing a 42-24 loss to City High. They pounded Xavier 49-19 last week. Quarterback Charles Rogers threw three touchdown passes against the Saints and ran for another. He has accounted for 13 touchdowns the past three games. Junior wide receiver Dondre Alexander is a big-time player who has generated interest from Iowa, Iowa State and Michigan State, according to rivals.com. Speedy wide receivers Mondo Williams and Jeremy Morgan also are threats to score from anywhere on the field. Top players: QB Charles Rogers, sr. (62-96-1-1018, 11 TDs passing; 75-477, 11 TDs rushing); WR/CB Dondre Alexander, jr. (29-412, 4 TDs receiving); WR Mondo Williams, jr. (12-320, 4 TDs receiving); WR Jeremy Morgan, jr. (15-270, 2 TDs receiving); RB Anthony Brown, sr. (34-237, 3 TDs rushing; 29 tackles, 9 for loss); RB Richard Bryant, sr. (39-205, 5 TDs rushing); WR/DB Ezra Reiners, jr. (59 tackles, 6 for loss);  LB Jessie Peterson, jr. (51 tackles); PK Alex Troester, sr. (29-31 PATs, 1-3 FG).

Kennedy - The Cougars have won three of their last four games after switching to a Stack-I offense that has pounded out the ground yardage. Kennedy blanked Jefferson, 32-0, last Friday when senior Trevor Heitland and junior Josh Hillyer ran for two touchdowns apiece. Hillyer has taken over as tailback and has run for 490 yards the last four games after netting 11 in the first two. Heitland was moved from tailback to flanker, but still gets considerable carries out of the Stack-I. Top players: RB Trevor Heitland, sr. (75-405, 8 TDs rushing; 17-243, 1 TD receiving); WR/DB Josh Jahlas, sr. (6-62, 1 TD rushing; 12-290, 3 TDs receiving; 70 tackles); RB Alex Hillyer, jr. (105-501, 6 TDs rushing; 10-79 receiving); QB Chico Lizarraga, sr. (49-92-2-681, 4 TDs passing); S Andrew Johnson, jr. (39 tackles); LB Prince Kollie, soph. (26 tackles); DE Logan LeTellier, sr. (56 tackles, 8 for loss); LB David Hynek, jr. (52 tackles).
