TROY MILLS - Marion's Lukas Mees ran to a first-place finish to lead the Indians to second place Saturday at the North Linn Invitational boys cross country meet.

Mees beat Iowa City Regina's Brennan Bogert by 29 seconds. Marion's Greg Sam was 10th and Cole Kuethe 11th among participants that counted in the team score. They were 11th and 12th overall.

Monticello runners finished 3-4-5 and won the team race with 40 points. Marion had 71 and Regina 87.
