TROY MILLS --The Marion girls finished ninth Saturday at the North Linn Invitational cross country meet.

Ellen Cannon was Marion's highest finisher at 29th.

Solon had four finishers in the top 10 and won easily with 34 points. Williamsburg was second with 66. Marion had 258.

Solon's Lauren Benzing won the 4k race in 14 minutes, 21 seconds. She was 43 seconds ahead of her nearest pursuer.
