Balanced Cougars roll past Dubuque Senior

Kennedy used a 110-pin advantage in the Baker round to pull away and beat Dubuque Senior, 2622-2495, Monday in girls bowling at Cedar Rapids Bowl.

Amanda Wiedemeier had high series of 398 and Ashley Hoppe high game of 203 for Kennedy (6-1). All six Cougars broke the 300 series mark for the first time in a meet this season.

Kennedy held a 17-pin lead after the first round.

Dubuque Senior dropped to 5-2.

DUBUQUE SENIOR (2495): Hillary Kapparos 193-351, Amanda Lanser 179-325, Alex Ostrander 214-357, Amy David 221-389, Courtney Chaffee 161-322.

KENNEDY (2622): Allie McQuiston 184-321, Amanda Gaffey 169-303, Ashley Hoppe 203-373, Jessi Schoettmer 187-366, Amanda Wiedemeier 199-398.
