Balanced attack keys Kennedy boys

FULTON, Ill. - Kennedy did not have anyone score more than nine points, but the balanced Cougars blew away Fulton, Ill., 62-30, Saturday night in a non-conference boys basketball game.

Cody Bell scored nine points to lead the Cougars (11-4).

Kennedy rebounded from an embarrassing 40-22 loss to Iowa City High on Friday night when the Cougars shot just 20 percent.

The Cougars built a 26-16 lead by halftime and pulled away in the second half. Alex Hayden added eight points, and Darius Fuller and Elliott Christians had seven apiece.

Kennedy's next game is Friday at Washington. The Cougars host No. 3 Linn-Mar on Saturday.
