Adam Spanich, Sean Greenwalt and Carol Ann Riha will be inducted into the LaSalle-Regis-Xavier Hall of Fame Friday night.

Spanich, a 1995 graduate of Regis, was named Iowa's "Mr. Basketball" in 1995 and the Gatorade Player of the Year. He twice was named first team all-state and three times was named first team all-Mississippi Valley Conference and all-Metro. He was the two-time MVC Player of the Year.

Spanich averaged 28.9 points as a senior, the highest in Regis history, and set a conference record at 30.4 points in league games that season.

Greenwalt, a 1990 graduate of LaSalle, was named first team all-state after leading the Metro area in scoring at 26 points as a senior. He twice was named first team all-Metro and first team all-Wamac Conference.

Greenwalt set school records for most points in a single game (46 versus Independence) and most points in a career (1,128). He played two years at Kirkwood Community College and upon graduation was the second leading scorer in KCC history (1,075).

Riha, a 1975 graduate of LaSalle, is being inducted into the Hall of Fame as an Outstanding Alumna. She worked as a journalist for the Associated Press for more than 27 years and became the AP's bureau chief in Iowa, where she oversaw national coverage of the Iowa caucuses in 2000, 2004 and 2008.

The new inductees will be honored at a reception at 6 p.m. Friday on the "X" at Xavier High School and the induction ceremony will take place at halftime of the Xavier girls basketball game against Linn-Mar. The game starts is scheduled for 7:30 p.m.
