CEDAR FALLS - Derek Kramer finished third in the 60-meter dash for Northern Iowa at the Missouri Valley Conference indoor track meet last Saturday.

Kramer, from Xavier High School, clocked a personal-best 6.87 seconds in the preliminaries and ran 6.95 in the finals to give UNI a 1-2-3 sweep in the event.

Carlos Anderson of Northern Iowa won the 60-meter dash in 6.82 seconds and teammate Jarred Herring was second in 6.83, followed by Kramer in 6.95. Anderson and Herring also play football for the Panthers.

Kramer was a state champion at Xavier and gained second team All-American honors at UNI last year in the 4x100 relay.
