Freshman Maddy Ryan hit home runs in both games Tuesday night as the Linn-Mar Lions swept a Mississippi Valley Conference doubleheader from Waterloo West at the Linn-Mar field.

Ryan and Cheyenne Hansen socked homers as the Lions won the first game, 14-6. Ryan and Alexis Kelsey hit homers as the Lions captured the nightcap, 12-2.

Hannah Yearling went 3-for-3 for Linn-Mar (11-14, 9-9) in the first game. Kelsey Duggan, Kelsey and Hansen had two hits apiece. Kelsey, Ryan and Hansen drove in two runs.

Kelsey went 2-for-4 with three RBIs in the second game. Ryan and Yearling had two RBIs. Maggie Rizor had two hits.

Waterloo West fell to 6-19 overall and 5-13 in the league.
