GARWIN - Cedar Valley Christian finished with a 1-3 record Saturday at the GMG Invitational volleyball tournament.

The Huskies lost 2-1 to HLV and Waterloo Christian, and 2-0 to BGM. They beat GMG, 2-1.

HLV beat CVC 21-23, 21-18, 15-7. Lindsey Cach and Jessie Walsh had four kills each. Taylor Fields had six digs Maria Sequeira had five digs.

Waterloo Christian beat the Huskies, 12-21, 21-14, 15-6. Annie McElree had six digs. Walsh had three kills.

BGM beat CVC 21-16, 21-18. Sequeira had seven digs and Hannah Reinhart had five digs. Cach had three blocks and three kills.

CVC beat GMG 21-6, 18-21, 15-6. Cach had 7 kills, and Sequeira six digs and three aces.

"(We) improved again today," CVC Coach Jeff Pospisil said. "One of these days we are going to start to win the close ones."
