Jessica Schmeiser of Kennedy and Lauren Dalecky of Linn-Mar have been named the co-Athletes of the Year on the 2012 All-Metro swimming and diving team.

Kennedy and Linn-Mar garnered six spots apiece on the first team.

Kennedy's first-team picks were Megan Berst, Hannah Botkin, Sam Jacobsen, Michele Wasta, Lydia Yang and Schmeiser.

Linn-Mar's first-team selections were Lizzie Adams, Alyssa Deuso, Sam Fitzgerald, Alexa Klimes, Lauren Reynolds and Dalecky.

Washington grabbed three berths on the first team with McKenzie Asplund, Maddie Dietz and Jackie Hughes. Kate Canby made the squad from Jefferson.

John Ross of Kennedy and his assistants were named the Coach of the Year.
