Kennedy wins meet at Gardner

Kennedy's Siedrra Hargens shot a 5-over par 41 to take medalist honors and lead the Cougars to a narrow two-shot victory over Washington in a five-team meet Thursday at Gardner.

Prairie was a close third with a 197. The Hawks' Emily Machula took second with a 43.

Kandis O'Donnell and Grace Claassen each shot 47s to lead the way for Washington.

Wade paces Marion golfers at Wamac West

Taylor Wade shot a 12-over-par 48 Monday to help the Marion Indians place fifth in the Wamac Conference West Division girls golf tournament at Gardner.

Wade tied for third in the individual standings. Carli Eichelberger of Marion tied for ninth with a 50.

Kelsa Berkland claimed medalist honors with a 9-over 45 and led Williamsburg to the title.

CPU tops Marion in girls golf

Marion's Taylor Wade took medalist honors with a 46, but the Indians dropped a Wamac girls golf dual meet to Center Point-Urbana, 210-243, on Monday at Gardner Golf Course.

Aubrey Sarchett and Natalea Cook each shot 49 to lead CPU.

CPU: Aubrey Sarchett 49, Natalea Cook 49, Sam Morris 55, Tanya Kula 57, Danielle Reed 71, Kaylee Curtis-Swore 71.

MARION: Taylor Wade 46, Anna Martinson 62, Isabelle Webber 65, Erin Thomason 70.

Eichelberger leads Marion in Wamac meet

Carli Eichelberger led the Marion High School girls golf team with a nine-hole score of 50 Monday at a Wamac Conference quadrangular meet hosted by Clear Creek-Amana.

Kelsa Berkland fired an 8-over-par 44 to lead Williamsburg to the title.

Team Standings

1. Williamsburg 203, 2. Vinton-Shellsburg 228, 3. Marion 234, 4. Clear Creek-Amana 250.

Benton girls edge Marion

Marion's Taylor Wade tied for medalist honors with a 49, but it wasn't enough as Benton Community posted a 205-225 girls' golf dual meet victory on Monday.

Benton's Shelby Schallau also shot 49 to share medalist honors.
