Marion boys kick Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT - Marion High School goalkeeper Will Byers collected his fourth shutout of the season Monday as the Indians blanked Mount Pleasant, 2-0, in a soccer match in Mount Pleasant.

Enoch Duval and Hayden Meister scored goals for Marion. Noah Smith and Justin Thompson had assists.

Marion won its fourth straight match.

Duval scores 4 as Indians blank Indee

INDEPENDENCE - Enoch Duval scored all four goals as the Marion boys soccer team blanked, Independence, 4-0, in a Wamac boys soccer game on Thursday night.

The Indians, who won their third straight match, got assists from  Noah Walter, Ryan Whalen, Carter Stigge and Josiah Smith.

Marion boys boot Vinton-Shellsburg

VINTON - Enoch Duval fired in two goals Tuesday as the Marion Indians strolled by Vinton-Shellsburg, 6-0, in a Wamac Conference soccer match in Vinton.

Ryan Whalen, Tyler Lumbard, Matthew Schuttloffel and Justin Thompson also scored for Marion.

Gabe Groothuis collected three assists for the Indians. Noah Walter also had an assist.

Marion boys blank Williamsburg

Carter Stigge and Ryan Whelan scored goals at Marion blanked Williamsburg, 2-0, in a Wamac boys soccer match Friday night at Marion.

Justin Thompson and Enoch Duval has the assists for the Indians.

No.4 Lions boot No.7 Hawks, 5-1

The Linn-Mar Lions became the first team to score a goal against the Prairie Hawks all season Thursday night. And when they started, they never stopped.

The fourth-ranked Lions defeated the seventh-ranked Hawks, 5-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys soccer match at Linn-Mar Stadium.

Prairie entered the game with a perfect 8-0 record and had outscored its opponents, 45-0, but Linn-Mar solved the Prairie defense with a high-powered attack.
