Holli Jones scored the only goal of the game to lift Marion past Mount Vernon, 1-0, Wednesday in girls soccer at Marion.

Amanda Sahm had the assist fro the Indians.

Abby Phillips had nine saves at keeper for  Marion.

Marion girls kick Mount Pleasant

MOUNT PLEASANT - Sheala Rael, Lexie Rael and Amana Sahm scored goals Monday as the Marion Indians defeated Mount Pleasant, 3-0, in a girls soccer match in Mount Pleasant.

Holly Jones, Kaitlyn Henessee and Lexie Rael collected assists. Abby Phillips made five saves for the shutout.

Marion girls down Benton in PK shootout

VAN HORNE - Alice Dixon's goal on a sixth penalty kick in a shootout lifted Marion past Benton, 1-0, Tuesday in girls soccer.

Abby Phillips had 14 saves in regulation and four more in the shootout for Marion.

Marion girls boot Monticello, 4-0

Ashley Iehl and Amanda Sahm scored two goals apiece as the Marion Indians blanked Monticello, 4-0, in a Wamac Conference girls soccer game Monday at Marion.

Holly Jones and Lauren Rausch collected assists for the Indians.
