Prairie rolls over Hempstead

DUBUQUE – Riley Hansen had a 419 series to lead the Prairie girls bowling team to a 2,568 to 2,439 win over Dubuque Hempstead on Tuesday at Cherry Lanes.

Elisa Schmidt had a 365 series for Hempstead.

Prairie (2,568): Riley Hansen 209-210=419, Mikayla Hite 177-178=355, Rylee Blood 148-192=340, Samantha Keiper 129-178=307, Sabrina Keiper 133-169=302, Kara Grady 120-134=254.

Keiper leads Prairie over Wahlert

DUBUQUE – Samantha Keiper had a 364 series to lead the Prairie girls bowling team to a 2,477 to 1,822 won over Dubuque Wahlert at Cherry Lanes.

Allie Timmerman rolled a 319 series for the Golden Eagles.

Prairie (2,477): Samantha Keiper 141-223=364, Rylee Blood 191-164=355, Jade Klinefelter 134-171=305, Sabrina Keiper 144-160=304, Ashley Grady 137-156=293, Emily Hartgrave 149-112=261.

Dubuque Wahlert (1,822): Allie Timmerman 154-165=319, Sarah Wareham 96-169-265, Cindy Stierman 142-103=245, Mimi Ottavi 121-104=225, Elena Dominguez 77-118=195, Johanna Wahlert 110-74=184.

Rylee Blood’s 414 series led the Prairie girls bowling team to a 2,639 to 2,412 win over Jefferson on Friday at Lancer Lanes.

Rylea Bennett had a 362 series for the J-Hawks.

Rylee Blood wins Metro Spotlight Award

Cedar Rapids Prairie junior Rylee Blood is the winner of the Metro Spotlight Award for high school girls this week, the Metro Sports Report announced Sunday.

Blood is one of the top bowlers in the state with a 216.3 game average and a 432.5 series average this season. She ranks No. 1 in the Metro area and No. 2 in the state in both categories.

Blood has rolled the best game in the state this year with a 267 for the Prairie Hawks, who have gotten off to a 2-0 start with victories over Iowa City West and Linn-Mar.

Blood was named the Athlete of the Year on the All-Metro Bowling Team last year and was named the Co-Athlete of the Year in the Mississippi Valley Conference in the Valley Division.

Blood rolls 439 for Prairie

IOWA CITY – Rylee Blood rolled a 439 series to lead the Prairie girls bowling team to a 2,519 to 2,110 win over Iowa City West on Friday at Colonial Lanes.

Brooke Kreiss had a 353 series for the Women of Troy.

 

PRAIRIE (2,519): Rylee Blood 172-267=439, Sabrina Keiper 139-192=331, Samantha Keiper 147-167=314, Mikayla Hite 124-137=261, Riley Hansen 111-137=248, Kaitlyn Early 120-121=241.

 

IOWA CITY WEST (2,110): Brooke Kreiss 185-168=353, Samantha Lovell 158-166=324, Erica Roth 100-156=256, Kalei Strabala 120-120=240, Nicole Ritchy 76-120=196, Bethany Schillinger 102-84=186.
