Senior girls shoot past Prairie

DUBUQUE - Hailey Tollefson and Rylee Blood rolled the top series but the Prairie duo were not enough to fend off Dubuque Senior Monday in girls bowling at Cherry Lanes.

Senior had three girls shoot in the 390s and beat the Hawks, 2590-2396.

Tollefson had high game (231) and high series (403). Blood rolled a 402 series and had a high game of 224.

Blood siblings roll to state bowl

CLINTON - The Prairie boys and girls bowling teams could not quite score enough to make it to state during Thursday's state-qualifying meets.

But the Blood family will be headed to Des Moines for the Class 2A state tournament next Friday.

Rylee Blood shot a 462 series that was second-best girls' qualifying score in the state.

Her brother Nick Blood rolled a 469 series that also qualified for the state tournament.

Prairie - Girls Bowling

Palmer rolls Prairie girls past Xavier

Katlynn Palmer had the line Tuesday, firing games of 215 and 210 for a 425 series that propelled Prairie past Xavier, 2600-2499, in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Niona Bruce also fired a 200 game for Prairie.

Tara Trcka shot the high game with a 217 for Xavier. She finished with a 400 series.

Prairie girls rally past Linn-Mar bowlers

Prairie rallied from a 44-pin deficit and toppled Linn-Mar, 2639-2635, Friday in girls bowling at Cedar Rapids Bowl.

Rylee Blood fired a 255 high game and 432 series for Prairie.

Brooke McMorran shot a 405 series in the first round for Linn-Mar that helped the Lions build their lead.

But Prairie tallied Baker round games of 224 and 242 for a 48-pin margin that bumped the Hawks past the Lions.

Prairie - Girls Bowling

Palmer's 477 powers Prairie girls past Wash

Katlynn Palmer was red-hot for Prairie, rolling games of 244 and 233 for a 477 series that led the Hawks past Washington, 2695-2477, Friday afternoon at Lancer Lanes.

Amber Westemeier had a 215 game and Rylee Blood shot a 200 for Prairie.

Courtney Snodgrass led Washington with a 235 game and 404 series.

Prairie built a 159-pin lead in the first round.
