Jefferson girls roll past Prairie Hawks

Rylea Bennett's 412 series led Jefferson past Prairie, 2746-2430, Friday in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Bennett rolled games of 219 and 193 to lead the J-Hawks. Lindsey James shot high game for the J-Hawks with a 234. Nicole Petersen had a 204.

Katlynn Palmer led Prairie with a 211 high game and 360 series.

Waterloo East girls bowlers beat Prairie

Trisa Edler's pair of 202 games led Waterloo East past Prairie, 2290-2159, Friday in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Niona Bruce led Prairie with a 314 series. Hailey Tollefson tossed high game of 178.

WATERLOO EAST (2290): Rachel Betton 147-281, Elizabeth Burge 126-236, Olivia Ferrie 172-331, Stefani Pacheco 177-321, Trisa Edler 202-404.

PRAIRIE (2159): Rebecca Kacena 130-246, Niona Bruce 167-314, Jami Kadolph 160-312, Hailey Tollefson 178-305, Kate Palmer 155-274.

Wahlert's Hochrein too hot for Hawks

DUBUQUE - Prairie had on off-day Wednesday and Dubuque Wahlert's Kristina Hochrien had the line for the Golden Eagles.

It was a bad combination.

Hochrein rolled games of 248 and 202 for a 450 series that led Wahlert past Prairie, 2384-2052, in girls bowling at Cherry Lanes.

Prairie did not have a player break 300 for a series. Kate Palmer had high game for the Hawks with a 166 and Hailey Tollefson had high series of 297.

PRAIRIE (2052): Amber Westemeier 150-232, Rebecca Kacena 141-276, Kate Palmer 166-286, Hailey Tollefson 158-297, Niona Bruce 137-259.

Torrid Trcka sends Xavier past Prairie girls

Tara Trcka was in the groove Friday at May City Lanes, rolling games of 266 and 242 for a 508 series that sent Xavier past Prairie, 2817-2506, Friday in a girls bowling match.

Erica Fry rolled a 214 for Xavier.

Prairie was led by Jami Kadolph, who rolled a high game of 236 and a 419 series. Niona Bruce rolled a 224 and 383.

Xavier held a 204-pin lead after the first round.

Kadolph powers Prairie girls past Hempstead bowlers

Jami Kadolph shot a 204 high game and 382 series to power Prairie past Hempstead, 2285-2145, Friday afternoon in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Niona Bruce rolled a 350 and Kate Palmer a 312 for Prairie. Both shot high games of 188.

HEMPSTEAD (2145): Courtney Ryder 146-260, Jessica Vaasen 153-280, Katie Gruber 162-299, Nicole Connolly 137-262, Liz Gonner 139-275.
