Prairie roars back to rout J-Hawks

Prairie bounced back from a first set loss to win the next three and beat Jefferson Tuesday night in a Mississippi Valley Conference volleyball match at Prairie.

Prairie won by scores of 21-25, 25-15, 25-17 and 25-16.

"We started off slow in game one," Prairie Coach Kevin Geary said. "We did not have very good defense at the net or floor defense."

Geary said the Hawks turned it around the next three games.

"Our ball control improved in games 2-4 and we really got into a rhythm offensively," he said."Defensively, we started to get some good touches and blocks and that helped us with our floor defense and transition back into offense."

Prairie improved to 6-6 overall and 2-2 in the MVC. Jefferson fell to 3-10, 1-3.
