Washington girls roll past Hempstead

DUBUQUE - Kelly Waters fired a 211 high game and 378 series to lead Washington past Dubuque Hempstead, 2557-2229, Tuesday in girls bowling at Bowling & Beyond.

Courtney Snodgrass shot a 364 series for Washington.

The Warriors held a 225-pin lead after the first round and won the Baker round by 103 pins.

Keely Pernicka fired a 356 series and Ashley Duffy a 210 high game to lead Washington past Iowa City West, 2448-2079, Friday in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

All five bowlers rolled 300 series for Washington (4-6). Duffy rolled a 341.

West dropped to 0-10.

Nicole McMahon and Brooke McMorran shot games of 188 for Linn-Mar.

Bryttanie Huff shot a 337 series to lead Washington. Keely Pernicka had a 336.

Keely Pernicka had the line for Washington, rolling a 257 high game and 449 series that led the Warriors past Xavier, 2735-286, Friday in girls bowling at May City Bowl.

Xavier's Tara Trcka had high game for the Saints with a 235. She rolled a 443 series.

Washington held a 20-pin lead after the first round and won the Baker round by 29 pins.

Snodgrass fires Wash girls bowlers past City High

Washington's Courtney Snodgrass had the line Tuesday, firing games of 235 and 175 for a 410 series that propelled the Warriors past Iowa City High, 2548-2017, in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

(Washington (2-6) also got a high game of 209 from Keely Pernicka, who shot a 378 series.

City High dropped to 1-7.

IOWA CITY HIGH (2017): Madison Vanginkel 129-246, Amara Lehman 136-266, Emma Gingerich 124-246, Shannon Koppes 180-337, Natalie Harapat 125-250.
