Pernicka powers Wash girls bowlers past Wahlert

Keely Pernicka rolled a 233 high game and 402 series to lead Washington past Dubuque Wahlert, 2561-2278, Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls bowling match at Lancer Lanes.

Courtney Snodgrass rolled a 204 high game for the Warriors and had a 366 series.

Washington built a 279-pin lead in the first round.

Washington rally comes up short against West bowlers

WATERLOO - Washington fought back from a 198-pin deficit in the Baker round but came up short against Waterloo West in girls bowling Friday afternoon at Maple Lanes.

West won, 2647-2604.

Keely Pernicka led Washington with games of 187 and 186 for a 373 series. Ashley Duffy had high game for the Warriors with a 213.

West's Alexus Wilson shot high game of 263 and series of 411.

Prairie girls bowl over Warriors

ami Kadolph shot a 215 high game and 425 series to lead Prairie past Washington, 2495-2127, Friday in girls bowling at Lancer Lanes.

Teammate Kate Palmer was right behind Kadolph with a 214 high game and 394 series.

Washington was led by Ashley Duffy, who shot a 180 high game and 319 series.

WASHINGTON (2127): Ashley Duffy 180-319, Kelly Waters 139-278, Angela Bogard 146-292, Courtney Snodgrass 146-290, Cassie Ward 135-261.

Jefferson girls bowl over Warriors

Laura Hemphill rolled games of 233 and 194 for a 427 series to lead Jefferson past Washington, 2755-2285, Friday in a Mississippi Valley Conference girls bowling meet at Lancer Lanes.

The J-Hawks built a 459-pin lead in the first round and cruised to the win.

Nicole Peterson rolled a 204 game and 382 series for Jefferson, and Jessie Alff a 203 and 394.

Lynze Moon led Washington with a 16 high game and 311 series.

Hoppe helps Kennedy bowlers top Washington

Ashley Hoppe rolled a two-game series of 424 Friday to help Kennedy trim Washington by a count of 2,320 to 2,286 in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at Lancer Lanes.

Hoppe posted scores of 245 and 179 for her 424 series. Kelly Waters led Washington with a 194-170--364.
