Washington boys boot Waterloo East

WATERLOO - The Washington Warriors got goals from six different players Tuesday and blanked Waterloo East, 6-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference boys soccer match in Waterloo.

Emmanuel Hidalgo-Wohlleben, Michael Janssen, John Henry Green, AJ Patterson, Trevor Thulin and Gunnar Lenzen scored goals for the Warriors.

August Bergstrom collected two assists. Austin Cook, Green, Cole Malcolm, Harrison Baty Brian Holt also had assists.

Lenzen and Reed Tovey combined for the shutout in goal.

Washington - Boys Soccer

Washington boys kick Cedar Falls

AJ Patterson and Aroni Niyikiza scored goals Friday as the Washington boys soccer team blanked Cedar Falls, 2-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference match at Kingston Stadium.

Cole Malcolm and Connor Geuder had assists for the Warriors.

No.14 Warriors blank Rams, 2-0

Aroni Niyikiza and August Bergstrom scored goals Tuesday night as the 14th-ranked Washington soccer team shut out Dubuque Senior, 2-0, in a Mississippi Valley Conference match at Kingston Stadium.

AJ Patterson collected an assist for the Warriors. Gunnar Lenzen pitched a shutout in goal.

No.9 Prairie boots No.14 Warriors

The Cedar Rapids Prairie boys soccer team is still perfect for the 2015 campaign.

Perfect record, perfect defense.

The ninth-ranked Hawks blanked No.14 Washington, 2-0, at Prairie Thursday night in a Mississippi Valley Conference match at Prairie.

Prairie raised its records to 7-0 overall and 5-0 in the league. Most remarkably, the Hawks have outscored their opponents 44-0 this season.

Logan Rinderknecht fired in both goals for Prairie in the second half. Steve Fritz and Joe Vizzini collected assists. Alec Balta pitched the shutout in goal.

Schulz, Sarasin lift Cougars by Wash

Mark Schulz scored two goals Tuesday night to help fourth-ranked Kennedy defeat No. 15 Washington, 3-1, in a Mississippi Valley Conference soccer match at Kingston Stadium.

Jacob Sarasin collected a goal and an assist for the Cougars. Sam Hanzelka also had an assist.

Kennedy raised its records to 4-2 overall and 2-1 in the league.
