Washington swimmers dunk Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS - Nick Saulnier and Cameron Kelley were four-time winners Tuesday as the Washington Warriors dunked Cedar Falls, 98-72, in a Mississippi Valley Conference swimming meet in Cedar Falls.

Saulnier claimed the 200 IM and 100 butterfly and swam on two triumphant relay teams. Kelley notched the 50 free and 500 free and also swam on two victorious relays.

Matt Jackson was a three-time winner for the Warriors. George Durin, Jeremy Throndson and Kaleb Donels won twice apiece.

Saulnier paces Wash swimmers vs Valley

WEST DES MOINES - Nick Saulnier captured the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke for the Washington Warriors Saturday in a dual meet at West Des Moines Valley.

Valley won the meet, 102-68.

Washington also got victories from Cameron Kelley in the 200 free, Jeremy Throndson in the 500 free and Matt Jackson in the 100 breaststroke.

Washington swimmers dunk Kennedy

The Washington boys swimming team won eight events and beat Kennedy, 101-69, Tuesday in a Mississippi Valley Conference meet at Washington.

Cameron Kelley won the 200 freestyle (1:52.04) and the 500 freestyle (5:06.28) for the Warriors. Nick Saulnier won the 200 individual medley (2:02.97) and 100 freestyle (48.78).

Kaleb Donels took the 100 backstroke (57.84) and Washington won the 200 medley (1:41.60), 200 freestyle (1:31.57) and 400 freestyle (3:36.45) relays.

Cade Schoenauer captured the 50-yard freestyle (23.25 seconds) and 100 butterfly (56.65) for the Cougars. Stefan Kitsos won the 100 breaststroke (1:01.25).

Wash swimmers dunked by Dubuque

DUBUQUE – Nick Saulnier won two events as the Washington boys swimming team lost 105-65 to Dubuque Senior on Thursday.

Saulnier took the 50-yard freestyle in 22.31 seconds and the 100 freestyle in 49.60 for the Warriors. Matt Jackson won the 200 individual medley in 2:10.57 for Washington.

Wash swimmers dunked by Bettendorf

BETTENDORF – The Washington boys swimming team suffered a 114-42 loss to Bettendorf on Tuesday at Bettendorf.

Cameron Kelley won the 100-yard freestyle in 48.26 seconds and Nick Saulnier won the 500 freestyle in 4:48.96 for the Warriors. George Durin and Matt Jackson joined them on the winning 200 freestyle relay, which finished in 1:31.86.
