Washington ran its record to 11-0 Tuesday with a 9-0 whitewash of Cedar Falls in a girls tennis meet at Washington.

The Wariors lost only six games.

Katie Hammond beat Katie Todd, 10-1, at No. 1 singles.

Washington has won 10 meets by 9-0 scores. The Warriors have lost only two sets all season.

Warriors waltz at Prairie

Washington routed Prairie, 9-0, Monday in girls tennis at Prairie.

Washington's Kristen King beat Prairie's Maddie Rainey, 10-4, at No. 1 singles.

King and Olivia Brooks teamed up at No. 1 doubles to beat Rainey and Bri Kalous, 10-0.

The match was a makeup of last Saturday's meet that was rained out.

Wash girls win 9th straight meet

The Cedar Rapids Washington girls tennis team raised its record to 9-0 this season with Mississippi Valley Conference victories over Iowa City West and Iowa City High Saturday at the Washington courts.

The Warriors topped Iowa City West, 7-2, in the morning and blitzed Iowa City High, 9-0, in the afternoon.

Katie Hammond, Kristin King, Lilly Hartman and Rina Moore swept their singles matches for Washington.
