Washington girls run tennis record to 3-0

Katie Hammond whipped Kathleen Hutchinson in No. 1 singles and led Washington to its third straight girls tennis victory Tuesday at Washington.

The Warriors shutout Dubuque Wahlert, 9-0, to improve to 3-0 overall and 1-0 in the Mississippi Valley Conference.

Kristin King also shutout Courtney Schneider, 10-0, at No. 2 singles for the Warriors.

Wash girls post a pair of tennis shutouts

BETTENDORF - The Washington girls tennis team opened its season with a pair of shutouts Saturday.

The Warriors blanked Bettendorf, 9-0, and Davenport West, 9-0.

The closest Washington came to losing a match was against Bettendorf at No. 3 doubles. Lanie and Shea Sabin won a tiebreaker to salt away the shutout.
