Recker leads Saints at St. Andrews

Nick Recker fired a 37 Monday as the Xavier Saints captured a Mississippi Valley Conference triangular golf meet at St. Andrews.

The Saints finished with 155 shots, topping Waterloo West (170) and Waterloo East (254).

Brad Karpick shot a 38 for Xavier. Matt Neumeyer carded a 39 and Dan Bailey had a 41.

Saints grab 2nd at Cedar Falls golf

CEDAR FALLS - The Xavier Saints finished second out of 12 teams at the Cedar Falls Tiger Invitational at the Beaver Hills Country Club Friday.

Frank Lindwall of Washington claimed medalist honors with a 4-under-par 68 and led the Warriors to the team championship.

Matt Neumeyer of Xavier shot a 3-over-par 75 and tied for sixth place.

Saints take 2nd at MVC golf meet

The Xavier Saints placed second at the Mississippi Division conference golf meet at St. Andrew's on Monday.

Linn-Mar won the seven-team meet at 318. The Saints finished two shots behind at 320.

Nile Happel of Jefferson and Drew Brandel of Linn-Mar were co-medalists at 3-over-par 75.

Brad Karpick led Xavier with a 7-over 78.

Martin leads Saints at CRANDIC golf

Sam Martin shot a 2-over-par 65 to help the Xavier Saints finish fourth at the CRANDIC golf tournament at Airport National Tuesday.

Cedar Rapids Washington won the championship at 257. Prairie finished second on its home course.

Connor Neighbors of Washington claimed medalist honors with a 2-under 61.
