Randy Krejci has stepped onto the court at the girls state basketball tournament many times during his career as one of the top referees in Iowa.
This year he'll walk proudly onto the court at the Wells Fargo Arena in Des Moines to receive a prestigious award from the Iowa Girls High School Athletic Union.
Krejci, 58, has been selected to receive the Jack North Commemorative Award for his lifetime contributions to girls athletics.
He will receive the award on Friday night, March 1 during halftime of the Class 3A championship game at the girls state basketball tournament.

Iowa Western will face Butler (Kan.) in the NJCAA national championship football game in the UNI-Dome Sunday in Cedar Falls.
Kickoff is scheduled for 3 p.m.
Five graduates of Metro high schools in Cedar Rapids and Marion are playing for Iowa Western, which is 11-0 and ranked No. 1 in the country.
Chase Kleopfer of Xavier, William Wright of Xavier, Ross Ellsworth of Kennedy, Cory Harrison of Washington and Brandon Allen of Linn-Mar have helped the Reivers enjoy a perfect season so far. Iowa Western is averaging 615.9 yards and 66 points per game.
Butler is ranked No. 2 in the country with an 11-0 record.
This is just the fourth year that Iowa Western has had a football team.
