Cedar Valley Christian - Boys Basketball

CVC boys fall to West Central

SPRINGVILLE – The Cedar Valley Christian boys basketball team had no answer for West Central’s Dustin Gordon in a 64-49 non-conference loss Tuesday at home.

Gordon popped in five 3-pointers and scored 27 points for the Blue Devils (5-6).

Travis Geels had 13 points, seven rebounds, six assists and five steals for the Huskies (1-10). Michael Johnson scored 12 points and Kelvin Ridder added 10.

WEST CENTRAL (64): Forsyth 3 1-4 7, Squires 2 2-2 7, Kane 3 0-0 8, Gordon 9 4-6 27, Fink 3 5-9 11, Kime 0 1-4 1, Allwoo 0 1-2 1, Hanson 1 0-0 2. Totals 21 14-29 64.

CVC boys topped by Prince of Peace

SPRINGVILLE - Will Andersen and Seth Moeller scored 13 points apiece Tuesday night as Prince of Peace defeated Cedar Valley Christian, 56-29, in a Tri-Rivers Conference basketball game in Springville.

Logan Crittenden scored 10 points for Cedar Valley (1-9, 0-5).

Prince of Peace raised its records to 5-6 overall and 2-3 in the league.

Cedar Valley boys fall to Midland

WYOMING - Alex Martens scored 17 points Friday night as Midland defeated Cedar Valley Christian, 73-37, in a Tri-Rivers Conference boys basketball game in Wyoming.

Kyle Gustafson made four 3-pointers and scored 14 points for Cedar Valley (1-8). Connor Harms added 14 points for Midland (5-6).

Drew Gustafson and Jackson Foote did not play for Cedar Valley due to illness.

Cedar Valley boys fall at Lisbon

LISBON – Kelvin Ridder scored 11 points and grabbed seven rebounds for the Cedar Valley Christian boys basketball team, but the Huskies could not keep up in a 90-38 loss Tuesday on the road at Lisbon.

Mike Scroggs had seven points and three assists for Cedar Valley Christian (1-7).

Brett Givens had 17 points for Lisbon (4-4).

CVC boys fall at Cal-Wheatland

WHEATLAND – Calamus-Wheatland handed the Cedar Valley Christian boys basketball team a 66-27 loss Friday.

Travis Geels scored 10 points with eight rebounds for the Huskies (1-5). Mike Scroggs had five points and also grabbed eight rebounds.

Calamus-Wheatland is 2-7.
