Cedar Valley Christian - Volleyball

Huskies upended by Easton Valley

Cedar Valley Christian was upended by Easton Valley in three sets Thursday night in Tri-Rivers Conference volleyball.

The Huskies (9-8, 1-1) were beaten 25-18, 25-17, 25-22.

Shelby Hembera, Jessie Walsh and Miriam Chadima had four kills apiece. Walsh also had eight assists.

Maria Sequeira had eight digs and four assists. Grace Etzel had six digs.

Short-handed Huskies post win

CLINTON - Despite playing without two starters, Cedar Valley Christian's volleyball team powered past Prince of Peace in four sets Tuesday night.

The Huskies won, 15-25, 25-23, 25-18, 25-17.

Samantha Smith had six kills and seven digs. Jessie Walsh had five kills, five assists and seven digs.

Janella Ceballos had seven digs. Maria Sequeira added eight digs and five assists.

 

Cedar Valley Christian - Volleyball

Huskies take 2nd at GMG volleyball

GARWIN - The Cedar Valley Christian volleyball team compiled a 3-1 record and finished second at the GMG tournament in Garwin Saturday.

The Huskies began the tournament by defeating HLV, 15-21, 21-19, 15-13. Samantha Smith collected four kills and seven digs. Grace Etzel had seven digs and Jessie Walsh contributed nine assists.

The Huskies downed Waterloo Christian, 21-16, 21-19, with Etzel making seven digs and Shelby Hembera adding five kills.

Cedar Valley Christian - Volleyball

Huskies drop heartbreaker to Central City

CENTRAL CITY - Cedar Valley Christian had the rug pulled out from under it Thursday night by Central City's volleyball team.

The Huskies (5-6) won the first two sets in their match against the Wildcats, 25-19, 25-17.

Central City came storming back to win the final three sets, 25-22, 25-22, 15-8 and claim the match.

Jessie Walsh had six kills and six assists for the Huskies. Grace Etzel had six digs.

 

Cedar Valley Christian - Volleyball

Huskies go 1-2 at Maquoketa Valley

DELHI - Cedar Valley Christian won one of three matches Tuesday in the Maquoketa Valley quadrangular volleyball tournament.

The Huskies beat MFL MarMac, 21-8, 21-19, then was beaten by Maquoketa Valley, 21-11, 20-22, 15-8, and Tipton, 21-7, 21-9.

Jessie Walsh had three kills and four assists in each of the matches against MFL MarMac and Maquoketa Valley. Shelby Hembera had four kills against Maquoketa Valley.
