No.6 KCC softball team sweeps Ottawa

OTTAWA, Kan. - The sixth-ranked Kirkwood softball team finished its spring trip Wednesday by sweeping a doubleheader from Ottawa (Kan.) University.

Kristen Winter went 3-for-4 with a double, home run and four RBIs as the Eagles won the first game, 15-1, in five innings.

Kayla Tatge went 2-for-2 with a homer and two RBIs as Kirkwood took the second game, 9-0, in six innings.

Winter nets 8 RBIs as Eagles sweep

FAYETTE, Mo. - Kristen Winter collected eight RBIs Tuesday as the sixth-ranked Kirkwood softball team swept a doubleheader from the Central Methodist junior varsity.

Winter had a double, home run and five RBIs as the Eagles won the opener, 15-0, in five innings. She collected three more RBIs as Kirkwood took the nightcap, 10-2, in five innings.

Kirkwood raised its record to 10-3 with the sweep.

Krack hits two more homers for Kirkwood

FAYETTE, Mo. - Haylee Krack belted two home runs and drove in five runs Monday as the Kirkwood softball team defeated the Central Methodist junior varsity, 15-7, in Fayette, Mo.

The Central Methodist JV squad won the first game, 4-3.

Krack hit five homers for Kirkwood on Saturday in two games.

Kristen Winter had three hits and drove in two runs for Kirkwood in the 15-7 victory. Leah Duffe scored three runs in the ballgame.

The Eagles raised their record to 8-3 with the split.

Kirkwood softball washed out

CARTHAGE, Mo. - Kirkwood's softball games Sunday in the Crowder Community College Classic were cancelled because of rain.

The Eagles, who won three games in the event Saturday, were scheduled to play Butler College and Northern Oklahoma-Tonkawa. The games will not be made up.

Kirkwood's games Monday against Northern Arkansas also have been cancelled because of bad weather.

The Eagles are next scheduled to play Tuesday at Central Methodist University in Fayette, Mo.

Krack slugs 5 homers as Eagles win 3

CARTHAGE, Mo. -- Haylee Krack slugged five home runs Saturday as the Kirkwood Eagles won all three of their games at the Crowder Tournament in Carthage, Mo.

Krack, a sophomore from Silvis, Ill., hit two homers and drove in four runs as Kirkwood belted Carl Albert, 12-2, in five innings.

Krack walloped three homers and drove in 10 runs as the Eagles dumped Northeastern Oklahoma A&M, 13-3, in five innings.

The Eagles finished the day with an 8-0 victory over Three Rivers in six innings.

Krysta Tutsch hit two home runs against Northeastern Oklahoma A&M. Lauren Weber, Kelsie Campbell and Kayla Tatge also hit home runs Saturday, giving the Eagles 10 homers for the day.

Shyanne Saladino, Amber Logemann and Sam Belz were the winning pitchers for Kirkwood, which raised its record to 7-2.

Kristen Winters drove in four runs against Three Rivers.
