Coe women 11th at Wartburg golf

WAVERLY - The Coe College women's golf team placed 11th out of 17 teams at the Wartburg Fall Invitational at Centennial Oaks in Waverly Sunday.

Carleton College (Minn.) won the team championship. Erin Dingmann of St. Thomas (Minn.) was the medalist with a 36-hole score of 2-over-par 146.

Jessica Franson of Coe tied for 25th at 18-over 162 with rounds of 80 and 82.

Coe women 13th at Wartburg golf

WAVERLY - The Coe College women's golf team stands in 13th place after the first round of the Wartburg Invitational at Centennial Oaks Saturday.

Jessica Franson shot an 8-over-par 80 to lead the Kohawks. She is in 17th place heading into the second round Sunday.

Carleton College leads the 17-team tournament at 304. Erin Dingmann of St. Thomas has the 18-hole lead with a par-72.

Coe's Lang wins Loras golf title

DUBUQUE - Coe College freshman Erin Lang shot an 85 Sunday to claim medailist honors at the Loras Invitational at Thunder Hills Country Club.

Lang topped Sydney Kilcoin of UW-Platteville by one shot.

The Kohawks finished second out of six teams at 473. Luther won the title.

Coe - Women's Golf

Coe's Crain leads at Hunters Ridge

Chelsea Crain of Coe College shot a 12-over-par 84 Saturday to take the lead after 18 holes of the Mount Mercy Spring Invitational at Hunters Ridge Golf Course.

Mount Mercy took the first-round lead at 353. Coe stood in fifth place out of nine teams at 385.

Coe: Chelsea Crain 84, Amber Suhr 95, Bethany Lehman 102, Chloe Crain 104, Tarissa Hagenow 108, Kate Boland 109.
