Dickerman, Harman kick Cougars past Jeff, 8-0

Kaela Dickerman and Tory Harman scored three goals apiece to lead Kennedy to an 8-0 thrashing of Jefferson in girls soccer Tuesday at Kingston Stadium.

Emily Feltes and Sydney Hayden also scored goals for the Cougars.

Feltes also had three assists. Harman had two assists, and Hayden, Morgan Petsche, Anna Frerichs and Mackenzie Stump also had assists.

Jeff girls boot Waterloo East, 10-0

Shalyn Kinney collected three goals and three assists Wednesday night as the Cedar Rapids Jefferson soccer team blanked Waterloo East, 10-0, at Kingston Stadium.

Cara Voll scored two goals for the J-Hawks (4-5), who snapped a four-game losing streak. Taylor Miller, Brooke Barnhart, Haley Murray and Maddy Webber also scored.

Jeff girls blanked by City High, 3-0

Iowa City High shutout Jefferson, 3-0, Tuesday in girls soccer at lower Kingston.

The loss was the fourth straight for the J-Hawks and dropped their record to 3-5.

No.1 Xavier girls blank Jefferson, 2-0

Kayla Armstrong and Sammi Shepard scored goals to lead No.1 Xavier past Jefferson, 2-0, Tuesday in girls soccer at Lower Kingston.

Armstrong's goal with 27:41 remaining in the first half gave the Saints a 1-0 lead at halftime. Shepard scored an insurance goal with 12:31 left in the game.

Xavier took 34 shots, 10 on goal. Jefferson got off only five shots, three on goal. The J-Hawks did not put a shot on goal in the second half.

Jefferson keeper Madison Weber had eight saves.

Jefferson girls post shootout wins

URBANDALE - The Jefferson girls scored a pair of shootout wins Saturday at the Urbandale Invitational soccer tournament.

Jefferson beat host Urbandale, 1-0, and toppled Council Bluffs Thomas Jefferson, 2-1.

Jefferson won the shootout against Urbandale, 4-3, in penalty kicks.

The J-Hawks beat TJ, 6-5, in penalty kicks.
