J-Hawk girls blast Waterloo soccer teams

Brooke Barnhart scored six goals and Katie Dierks tallied four and Jefferson demolished Waterloo West and Waterloo East in girls soccer Saturday at lower Kingston.

Barnhart had four goals and Dierks two in the J-Hawks' 9-0 win over West. Ashley Rayer and Shalyn Kinney also scored. Dierks had three assists.

Barnhart, Dierks, Alexis Brannan and Kayla Jaschen had two goals apiece in Jefferson's 10-0 rout of East. Trina Gallagher and Kinney also had goals. Kinney had three assists.

Jefferson is 10-4 overall, 7-4 in the MVC.

Jefferson sinks Senior in girls soccer

Katie Dierks, Brooke Barnhart and Riley Kesterson scored goals to lead Jefferson to a 3-1 win over Dubuuque Senior in an MVC girls soccer game Tuesday at lower Kingston.

Dierks had the only assist.

Senior scored on a Jefferson own goal.

Jefferson is 8-4 overall, 5-4 in the MVC.

Ives lifts J-Hawks by Warriors, 1-0

Freshman Katie Ives scored on a free kick from 20 yards to help Jefferson defeat Washington, 1-0, in a stormy Mississippi Valley Conference soccer game Thursday night at Kingston Stadium.

The match was stopped with 2:38 left in the second half due to heavy rain and lightning.

J-Hawks get their kicks in Cedar Falls

CEDAR FALLS - Trina Gallagher and Shalyn Kinney scored goals Tuesday night as the Jefferson girls soccer team won its fifth straight game with a 2-1 verdict over the Cedar Falls Tigers in Cedar Falls.

Katie Ives collected assists on both goals for the J-Hawks in the Mississippi Valley Conference game. Jefferson raised its record to 6-2.

Jeff girls notch 4th straight soccer win

Jefferson got goals from Katie Ives and Brooke Barnhart to beat Dubuque Hempstead, 2-0, Thursday in girls soccer at Lower Kingston.

The win was the fourth straight for the J-Hawks (5-2, 2-2 MVC).

Jefferson got assists from Abby Banker, Katie Dierks and Shalyn Kinney.

Hempstead is 2-5, 1-4.
